When the train, it left the station
with two lights on behind
Well, the blue light was my blues
and the red light was my mind
All my love's in vain

Amazing that, thanks to corporate hegemony of our bizarre copyright laws, almost 70 years after Johnson's death his music still isn't in the public domain.

It is a sad comment that this man's talent couldn't be his own, but rather because, as the story goes, he sold his soul to the Devil.

Recall "Oh, Brother! Where Art Thou." Hearing the Johnson character say, "The Devil's a white man," a woman behind me in the theatre said, "I know that's right."
